No Lab this Sunday but I am going to Bethel Community for their event explosion aimed at young adults over 16 - all welcome.
Things coming together nicely for Heroes 2 on June 4th...good music, great visuals and inspiring guest speaker.

the shaping of things to come
just some dates to keep you in the loop:
worship jamming this Sat at the church from 5pm. Got an instrument or a voice bring it along....hoping to give my basic bass skills a whirl!
Lab as usual this Sunday.
No Lab on 28th (half term break)
Lab at Heroes (the Leisure centre) on June 4th with 'guest speaker'!
Lab on the 11th - Phil is away but my bro Charlie (who has led worship for the last ten years at HTB and then in Cape Town and now in Bristol) is standing in for him.
Sensing some fundamental changes are just around the corner. please pray for us!

the mini series on Jesus is going well. tonight we looked at Jesus the party-goer and thought about how church might be more like a party and how some parties might be more like doing church. we thought about the fact that Jesus was often eating and drinking with people because he was good company, he was a good mate....people wanted him at their party - he was good value! We need to become more like Jesus!!
Next week we are looking at Jesus the storyteller.
Just to keep you in the loop:
Saturday 20th May we are meeting down at St. Paul's for a worship jam from 5-7. All welcome with or without instruments. Then from 7pm we will find somewhere to have some grub together.
Sunday 4th June we are meeting back at Heroes lounge in the Leisure Centre......more about that soon.
